EASE, together with Batteries Europe, organises a webinar to discuss the opportunities and challenges for the EU as it seeks to take on a leadership role in the global battery storage industry. The event will take place on 9 February 2021 and is organised under the umbrella of the EU Industry Days 2021.

During the event, experts will delve into the crucial role that battery storage plays in the energy transition and present the challenges that still have to be tackled, including the role of legislation, that does not appropriately foster sustainable batteries. A panel of experts will share their views on how batteries contribute to decarbonisation, how the European research, development and demonstration ecosystem should be fostered, and how European regulation can accelerate the development and deployment of batteries.
