IEA Energy Storage TCP - UK National Team update, May 2024
We are pleased to share the biannual update on the IEA's Energy Storage TCP activities, where I serve as the Alternate Delegate for the UK, alongside Gill Davies from DESNZ. This update includes information on upcoming events and developments:

Next ExCo Meeting: Scheduled for 3rd – 4th June, the Executive Committee will discuss the progress of various TCP ‘tasks’. Detailed information on recently completed, ongoing, and upcoming tasks can be found here. Please feel free to reach out if you wish to engage in any of these tasks.
Online Meeting on Medium Duration Energy Storage: Task 42, led by Seamus Garvey at the University of Nottingham, will hold a meeting on the morning of 22nd May. Interested parties should contact Seamus at [email protected].
Enerstock 2024 Conference: This key energy storage conference will take place in Lyon from 5th to 7th June 2024. Registration is open until 20th May. For more details, visit Enerstock 2024.
OnSeminars: The next webinar on energy demand and storage in practice is scheduled for 23rd May at 1 PM UK time. The session will feature Maria Vasconcelos, Co-CEO of LUMENION GmbH, and Mathias Wallersheim, Business Development Manager at ENERTRAG SE. Participation is free and does not require registration. We are also proposing a new Task on thermal energy storage materials, set to begin in summer 2025, which will consider sensible heat storage materials for high-temperature applications in addition to PCM and TCM.
